In the 1970's, Atom completely manufactured their own Atom chainsaws, in 5 models
of 60cc and 75cc engine capacity, and was the world's first chainsaw company to
have its complete range of chainsaws with solid state electronic ignition; a
patented turbo action self cleaning air cleaner; as well as Atom's patented Anti-Vibration
system fitted to most models (all world's first). These then unique innovative features (patents now expired) are now standard on quality chainsaws sold worldwide today. Atom's chainsaw production ceased in the late 1970's as a result of the then government abolished tariff protection on locally manufactured goods in 1974. |
