Purchased from a saw mill closing down sale this beauty was used for bucking flooring bearers to length once bundled together on pallets this is one very heavy saw total length is approxiately 8 ft in or 2.4 metres in overall length. The photo's show the saw as purchased minus a little dust that i removed using compressed air.

Manufactured January 12, 1951 If I'm not mistaken, the tag reads "Collaudata il", which is Italian for  "checked or tested".  Next to this word is 1.12.1951 1st Dec 1951

Hi all, my name is Claudio and I live in Italy. Furthermore I was looking at this wonderful Italian chainsaw I would help you with the translation. I confirm to you that "collaudata il" is "checked at" so it's also correct "tested", but the date format is different because we put the day first, then the month and finally the year, so where the tag say 1,12,1951 is december, the first 1951 (not january 12).
